WHY WE LIKE IT? Fantastic location close to Kibale, making it perfect as a base for Chimp Trekking.

HOW TO GET THERE? Kasese airstrip is the closest airstrip which is a 2 hour drive from the camp. The camp can also be reached by vehicle from Kampala.

SPECIAL INTEREST: Chimpanzees. Spend the day following the troop and learning about these fascinating animals.

Kibale National park is open for game viewing all year round but the best time to visit is in the dry seasons from June to September and December to February. March to may and September to November mark the wet season, where wildlife viewing is quite challenging, but it is a good time for bird watching.

Begin exploring the wonders of this enchanted region of Africa with our top attraction – the Chimpanzee Safari in Kibale National Park. Deep in the evergreen rainforest of Kibale, you will come face to face with man’s closest living relative. Kibale forest is the best place in the world to see Chimpanzees in the wild. The forest is frequently used by documentary film-makers, including the great Attenborough. With the highest density of Chimpanzees in the world, and with 13 other rare primates, the enormous Kibale forest is a world treasure. Situated close to Kibale Forest, Kyaninga Lodge is the perfect place for you to explore this ancient wilderness.
