WHY WE LIKE IT? Tswalu is unlike any other safari property in Africa! The animals, the birds, the plants and the landscape are all so unique.

HOW TO GET THERE? Daily flights from Johannesburg and Cape Town direct to Tswalus airstrip.

SPECIAL INTEREST: This is the best place to stand a chance at seeing the elusive Aardvark and Pangolin.

Being in the Kalahari Desert, Tswalu’s weather much like its terrain can be harsh and unpredictable. Incredibly hot summers and freezing cold winters are a reality. Bu the lodges are well equipped for it and you will be very comfortable any time of the year.

While Tswalu is home to most of the “charismatic” African big game species such as lion, cheetah, wild dog, desert black rhino and buffalo, Tswalu has developed into a vast area of unique biodiversity and natural beauty which offers safe haven to a number of rare and endangered species, including pangolin, aardvark, aardwolf, African wild dog, rare antelope such as roan, sable and tsessebe and endangered raptors.
